बीजेपी अध्यक्ष अमित साह 14 मई को कोलकाता में रोड शो कर रहे थे उसी दौरान जम कर बवाल हुवा, मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स का कहना है रोड शो के दौरान पत्थरबाजी हुई. बीजेपी के काय्रकर्ता आपे से बहार हो गए, बीजेपी समर्थकों का टीएमसी और लेफ्ट के कार्यकर्ताओं से झगडा हुआ. पुलिस से ये भगड़ल नहीं संभली तो पुलिस ने लाठी चार्ज कर दिया. अमित साह के रोड शो के दौरान कई जगह में आग भी लगा दिया वहाँ के लोगो ने. अमित शाह ने फोन पर कहा कि पूरे बवाल के लिए ममता सरकार दोषी है. शाह ने कहा कि वे इसकी शिकायत चुनाव आयोग से करेंगे. कॉलेज स्ट्रीट से कलकत्ता यूनिवर्सिटी परिसर से बीजेपी अध्यक्ष अमित शाह का के रोड शो की रैली निकलते ही वहाँ झगड़ा शुरू हो गईं. वहाँ के कुछ लोगो ने अमित साह की रैली में शामिल लोगो पर पत्थर फेकने लगा.
अमित शाह के रोड शो के दौरान झड़पों के बाद, कोलकत्ता की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने कहा, मुझे पता चला है की बीजेपी के कुछ सपोर्ट ने ये काम किया है. इसे ऐसे नहीं जाने देंगे. इसका जबाब हम जरूर देंगे. बीजेपी ये काम करवाने के लिए बहार से लोगो को लाया था, मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी. ने इस घटना की पूरी जानकारी और जांच का आदेश दिया है.
अमित सह ने इसका पूरा दोष ममता सरकार को दिया है.
अमित सह का कहना है की मेरा रोड शो शांति से आगे बढ़ रहा था, तृणमूल कांग्रेस के कार्यकर्ताओं नेहमरी रैली में पत्थर फेकना सुरु कर दिया. अमित सह का कहना है की ममता दीदी इनसब के जिम्मेदार है.इसमें बीजेपी कोई दोष नहीं है. इस घटना के पीछे ममता दीदी का हाथ है. बंगाल में हिंसा कौन कर रहा है? ममता से पूछा जाना चाहिए कि इतनी हिंसा क्यों हुई”.
बीजेपी के सभी नेता ने इस घटना को शर्मनाक घटना बताया है और, इस घटना की हिंसा को लेकर चुनाव आयोग से शिकायत करेंगे.
